The rumor was out, there’s a link between the occurrence of a supermoon and super earthquakes; so being in the midst of Japan’s  earthquake epidemic, I was a little apprehensive about the approach of the celestial event last night.  Sure enough, at 10pm we experienced yet another tremor – but negilible by current standards. Realizing the lunar event was more awesome than awful, I went out at 2am to record its calming beauty.

The moon’s brilliance illuminated our house like it was noon.  My greatest fear in an earthquake is that it might bring down the towering apartment building looming behind us.
